Amerex 30lb Class D Sodium Chloride Fire Extinguisher – Model B570 | AME-16882
This 30-lb. capacity Amerex fire extinguisher is specially made to fight Class D fires. This extinguisher contains a specially blended Sodium Chloride-based dry powder extinguishing agent that when exposed to heat from a fire will cake and form a crust that excludes air and dissipates the heat from burning metal. For use on metal fires involving magnesium, sodium, potassium, and sodium-potassium alloys. Data also shows that fires involving zirconium, uranium, titanium, and powdered aluminum can be extinguished with this extinguisher. The extinguisher is painted yellow to indicate its use on Class D fires and includes a Wall Bracket and 6-year manufacturer’s warranty. An optional dolly cart allows for easy transport.
MODEL B570 contains a special blended Sodium Chloride based dry powder extinguishing agent. The Amerex soft flow extension applicator is particularly suited for fighting Class D fires. It allows the operator to stand away from the extreme heat and toxic fumes caused by burning material. The easily controlled, even discharge provides a non-dispersing application of the agent. The extension applicator may be quickly detached to provide a straight stream of chemical where greater range is required.
